Soccer Pointe-Claire’s newest Technical Team member….Vince Gidari!

Introducing Vincenzo (Vince) Gidari, the newest member of our Technical Team!  He has joined us as Assistant Sporting Director – Player and Coach Development.

He was formerly the Technical Director of CS Fabrose and CDC Director for FC Laval. He assisted in the mega merge of the 3 Laval West clubs in 2020-21.   Vince was also the Assistant Technical Director at CS St-Laurent for the eight years prior where he assisted them in the restructuring of the club and the implementation of the technical structure

Vince was the head coach at Vanier College for the past 4 seasons leading the men’s team into playoff contention in all 4 seasons, something the college has not done in over 20 years.  Vince resigned this season from his position at Vanier after much reflection to join the coaching staff with the College Ste-Anne soccer program.

Vince began his coaching career in 1995 with ASTMP Soccer.  From his beginnings until now, he has helped a long list of young players at the Quebec Team, Canadian National Team level, and CF Montreal programs.

Vince started playing soccer at age 4 for Pompei in ARS Concordia and later in AAA for Hermès and Quebec team. After a career ending knee Injury in 1993 Vince decided he would give back and continue with the beautiful game by coaching.

As a coach,  Vince holds the top level Canadian National A license,  UEFA B License , CSA Children’s, and Youth Licences.

Vince had many choices, but Pointe-Claire was at the top of his list, and we are super happy to have him join the Pointe-Claire family.” said New Sporting Director Grant Needham. “This is just another step forward for the club, getting us a little closer to where we want to go.”

He also has several other certifications such as the Level 4fNCCP, LF Course Director , NSCAA Advanced diploma, Technical Director Certificate , Goalkeeper Level 1-2 course. In addition to his FSQ and CSA certifications, Vince has over 28 years of experience as an instructor. And is also a course director for Soccer Quebec and is involved in the development of athletes and coaches.

We officially welcome Vince to Soccer Pointe-Claire and are very proud to have him on our team, his vast experience will bring our players and coaches much success in the future.
